French as a Foreign Language Courses (FLE)
The University of Toulon (UTLN) proposes free courses in French as a Foreign Language (FLE) to all international students enrolled at the university whether or not the student is a part of an exchange program.
Students will receive a certificate of attendance and validate their level in the language and/or receive 5 ECTS credits/semester (only students in exchange programs).
Tailored to international students, this course aims to develop and strengthen your linguistic, methodological, and cultural skills enabling you to be at ease and spontaneous in both writing and speaking as well as to successfully adapt to university life in France.
- Courses begin : October 1st, 2nd floor of Building B. The course consists in 100 hours of training over 2 semesters from October to the end of May, including 50 hours per 12-week semester.
- Semester 1 : From October to the end of January.
- Semester 2 : From February to the end of May.
Groups per Level
Following a placement test, the students are divided into groups according to their initial level : elementary, intermediate, and advanced.
Students must register with the Department of International Relations.
Please note : If you are not currently enrolled at the University of Toulon, you may enroll in French as a Foreign Language (FLE) classes through the Department for Continuing Education (Formation Tout au Long de la Vie – FTLV).
