What is digital accessibility?

An accessible website is one that allows all internet users to access its content without difficulty, including people with disabilities who use specialised software or hardware.

For example, an accessible website allows you to:

  • navigate using text-to-speech or Braille displays (which are used in particular by blind or visually impaired internet users)
  • navigate without using the mouse, using only the keyboard or via a touchscreen.
