Our research focuses on marine sciences and Mediterranean societies.
The University of Toulon is defined by a strong identity: Marine Sciences and Mediterranean Societies.
It comprises 14 recognised research units (8 in science and technology, 6 in the humanities, law, economics and management) and has 2 doctoral schools: “Euro-Mediterranean and Comparative Civilisations and Societies” and “Sea and Sciences ”.
With its location on the Mediterranean coast and within France’s leading military port, the University of Toulon’s research and innovation operate within a dual environment, encompassing both civilian and defence sectors.
