Health promotion, physical activity, well-being 

This research area takes a multidisciplinary approach to studying the individual, social, technological, organisational and environmental factors that influence health behaviours (physical activity, sedentary lifestyles, diet, sleep, digital technology use and addictions) with a view to prevention, the promotion of well-being and performance.

The aim is to understand how physical, social, organisational and digital environments influence these behaviours, in order to design systems, policies, technological tools, regulatory frameworks and support strategies tailored to people’s needs within their everyday contexts. This research area draws on complementary expertise from the fields of sports science, the humanities and social sciences, engineering and computer science.

  • Disability, para-sport, mobility and sensory input 
  • Health and well-being at work 
  • Communication on health and risk 
  • Healthcare litigation and the law relating to vulnerable persons

  • Digital prevention, technological acculturation in relation to social practices
